Where is Columbus pointing his finger at? Go down the Ramblas and find it out
Las Ramblas is one of the most famous streets of Barcelona. It has a central boulevard where you can find kiosks, bars, street stalls … well worth walking through it and lying in its composition.
Las Ramblas flow into the sea but the famous statue of Christopher Columbus pointing with his finger … to where? He points to the Mediterranean Sea and therefore to Mallorca or Italy … It was said he was pointing to America as at the same time of its discovery but to the other side … it is also speculated he was pointing to Genoa, maybe his place of origin… No accurate conclusion was reached. Will it be misplaced?
El Mercado de La Boquería
El Mercado de La Boquería is indeed a food market where you can find any kind of product with a special composition and light. It has an original design and is located in the Ramblas. If you go to see Columbus, you can recharge your batteries here.
There you can take a breath and eat tasting food.
