1. Santa Llúcia Fair
This fair has existed since 1786 and is here to stay! From 25 November to 23 December you can find this fair on Avenida de la Catedral de Barcelona and make the most of the Christmas spirit. The stalls are grouped into four main sections. The Christmas crib and figurine section (such as the caganer) offers landscape complements for the Christmas crib, baskets, figurines, candles and Christmas decorations. In the greenery and vegetation section, there are natural or artificial trees, moss, tiones, cork, eucalyptus branches and the like. In the handicraft sector, there are all kinds of handcrafted products and accessories, such as clothing, jewellery, decorative and gift items and many other items. Finally, the music sector offers visitors zambombas, tambourines and other traditional Christmas instruments.
2. Christmas Fair at the Sagrada Família
La Sagrada Família Christmas Fair has existed since 1962, making it the most traditional Christmas market in the Eixample. It’s located in the Plaça de la Sagrada Família and will last 28 days, from 26 November to 23 December 2022. The numerous stalls that fill the square are divided into four sectors: Christmas trees and plants; Christmas cribs, traditional figures and Christmas decorations in general; food, with some establishments selling sweets; and the gift sector, with stalls selling craft products, costume jewellery and clothes.
3. Gran Vía Three Kings Fair
The Three Kings Fair is located on the side platforms of Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, between Muntaner and Rocafort streets. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the exception of Saturdays and the eve of public holidays, when it will close at 10 p.m and it will last from 6 December 2022 to 6 January 2023. There will be toy stalls, which will be located between Comte d'Urgell and Muntaner streets; those dedicated to various gifts and traditional products will be located between Calàbria and Comte d'Urgell streets; and the craft sector will be located between Rocafort and Calàbria streets. And don't worry, the churrerías will also be present, spread throughout the fair, to fill your belly with the most delicious sweets.
4. Port Vell Christmas Fair
The fourth edition of 'Nadal al Port' will be held from 5 December to 6 January at the Moll de la Fusta in Barcelona. The Port Vell Christmas Fair will be open from 11 am to 10 pm. This year's light and colour show will take place every day from 5.30pm. Meanwhile, on 25 December and 21 December, this Christmas Market is usually only open in the afternoon, normally from 4 pm to 11 pm. Many new features of the Christmas market have been confirmed, such as a 400 square metre sustainable and environmentally friendly ice rink. The legendary 65-metre-high wheel will be back, as well as a vintage carousel and a little train.
5. Mandarin Oriental Christmas Market
The Mandarin Oriental hotel is once again organising its Christmas market. From 9 to 22 December, you will have free access to the Mimosa Garden where you can find everything you need: crafts, churros with chocolate, mulled wine, gingerbread biscuits, garlands, lights, elves, illusions and more!
6. Algodonera Market Lab Nadal
La Algodonera Market Lab's regular market is back with a festive edition and will be at the Cotton House Hotel on the weekend of 17 and 18 December from 12:00pm to 7:30pm. At the market there will be stalls of emerging and local brands exhibiting their products such as Lux Organics with its cosmetics, Patricia Arla Jewels with its jewellery and Totcor Barcelona accessories, among many others.
